Hi! you can do synthetic percussion sounds with an envelope module and a DCO or a noise module, so you need two modules but it's possible. I haven't done anything sample-based yet, but it's in the to-do list for modules this year
On second thoughts, I don't think those android apps would be useful. You cannot program miniMO directly from them, and the two I looked at didn't have the functionality to send programs to "third parties" using arduino as a programmer.

Hi there! Yes, it's in my list of upcoming modules. I will keep the existing DCO as a "general purpose oscillator", and make an LFO module with just the LFO range. I also plan on adding "musical range" oscillators to use with the sequencer.
